Turning Agricultural Waste into Organic Fertilizer

Composting:

The first steps The process begins with the raw material, most commonly animal waste such as manure from cattle, poultry, or swine. Those wastes are rich in nutrition that are healthy for plants. But this cannot be used directly to fields in its raw state. It may contain pathogens, weed seeds, and high levels of ammonia that can “burn” plants and contaminate water sources. Other agricultural wastes straw, husks, or spoiled fodder, can also be made into fertilizer by composting them or mixing with the poultry manure creating a balance organic feedstock for fertilizer production.

Composting requires an effective balance of carbon and nitrogen. Manure should be mixed with carbon rich nutritious source like straw, sawdust or leaves. This process required regular turning of the pile. Crawler type compost turner helps with this process. The Starting Point: Agricultural Waste and Beyond

Stage 1: Dynamic Batching System

The first step to the industrial Organic fertilizer Process is dynamic batching system. It is the brain of the operation. Stage 2: Vertical Shaft Crusher

The raw material must be broken down into uniform particle so that there is no clumping raw materials in the production line before it can be sent to the granulation machine. The blended materials are fed into a vertical shaft crusher. This powerful machine uses a high-speed rotating shaft with hammers to pulverize the composted and batched mixture. It effectively crushes any lumps, straw, or manure clumps into powder.

Stage 3: Stirring Pin Granulator

The stirring pin granulator is the main machine of the production line. This is where granulation happen. Fine powders are send into the stirring pin granulator. Inside the granulator there is a high-speed rotating disk with pins which create powerful vortex. You have to add a controlled amount of water in this stage. The water combined with the vortex bindes the powder and forms dense spherical granules.

Stage 4: Polishing Machine

Freshly formed granules from the granulator often have a rough surface. It also sometime contain ungranulated powder. The polishing machine is designed to address this. This machine uses speed as its advantage to make the granuales to push against the walls and against each other to make them more rounder shape.

Stage 5: Drying Machine

The granules have high moister content after polishing. At this stage the ganules are soft and prone to caking. They are immediately transferred to a Rotary Drying Machine. Which also acts as a second granulation. The granules passes through the rotating drum while being exposed to a controlled flow of hot air. His process rapidy reduce the moister content to optimal blow 12% hardening them. The robust design of rotary drum dryer ensures efficient heat transfer and uniform drying, which is crucial for preserving the quality of the organic fertilizer.

Stage 6: Cooling Machine

After coming out of the dryer the dried granules are often very hot and fragile and cannot be packed immediately. The cooling machine solves this problem. Its not only dries the granules it also harden them.  Using a counter-flow of ambient air, this rotary cooler systematically lowers the temperature of the granules. This step is vital for achieving a hard, durable, and stable organic fertilizer product.

Stage 7 : Rotary Screen Machine

The screening process is vital for a production line. the granulation process can yield pellets of varying sizes. The rotary screen machine acts as the quality control checkpoint. It is a large, cylindrical screen that rotates. It screens out the waste product and with the help of belt conveyor they are sent to the crusher. And the final product is sent to packing. Ensuring zero waste.

Stage 8: Packing Machine

The final stage in the LANE production line is packaging. The high quality uniformed organic fertilizer granules that are made from agricultural waste are sent to the packing machine. This packing machine are weighted automatically and filled into bags. The weight and bag size can be configured from 5kg retail bags to 25kg or 50kg, 100KG sacks. The automated sealing and labeling complete the transformation.
