Introduction

As the world is looking for more sustainable agricultural growth the demand for organic fertilizer granulation lines to produce organic fertilizer is rising. Using uncomposted manure is harmful for plants and handling fermented material is messy and inefficient. They are difficult to transport and use. This is where the organic fertilizer granulation line comes in. This production line can create granules from organic raw materials.

LANE Machinery, a leader in agricultural equipment, has optimized this production system to turn organic waste into high-quality granular fertilizer efficiently. Their eco-friendly organic fertilizer granulation line saves power, can be automated and saves time and money.

Why Granulate?

It is essential to understand why granulation solves multiple problems; this information will help you determine whether you want granulation equipment or not.

A well-designed and well-manufactured organic fertilizer granulation line can make those possible.

Step 1: Foundation with Fermentation

Before granulation it is necessary to compost or ferment the main raw materials. The raw materials can be livestock manure, agricultural waste, food scraps mixed with carbon rich browns like straw, saw dust, charcoal. The raw materials are first placed in a pile in linear formation. They are called windrows. The raw materials are mixed based on carbon-nitrogen ratio. The best carbon-nitrogen ratio is 25:1-30:1 and moisture content is between 55%-65%. The piles are then aerated.

LANE crawler compost turner is the best machine suitable for the turning process of windrows. The turning process is necessary to aerate and uniformly compost the composting pile.

Step 2: Feeding and Crushing

The raw materials are then sent to the Dynamic Batching System. This machine works as a temporary holding place. This machine is equipped with pressure and weighting sensors. They can be controlled by PLC. This system releases raw materials into the production line.

They are first sent to the crusher. LANE’s vertical fine crusher grinds the matured fertilizer into 0.5-1mm powder. The composted material often contains lumps and fibrous clumps. The crusher makes them into uniform powder. This makes it easier to make granules.

Step 4: Granulation and Polishing

The core of the organic fertilizer granulation line is the granulation process. For organic fertilizer granulation line LANE has manufactured stirring pin granulator. This machine utilizes a high-speed mechanical rotation to agitate the wet powder and high-speed rotating teeth to knead the powder into granules. The result is 2-5mm spherical granules with a formation rate of 85%-95%, far above industry averages.

The freshly formed granulated fertilizers sometimes have odd shapes. This is where LANE polishing machine comes in. This machine uses high-speed mechanical rotation to agitate the granules and make them rounder.

Step 5: Drying & Cooling for Stability

After polishing the granules are prone to caking. They have high moisture content, making them soft and unstable. They are transported to LANE rotary drying machine where they are dried to optimal level. This process hardens the granules and prevents them from breaking apart.

Immediately after drying, the hot granules move into LANE Rotary Cooler. Before packing it is necessary to cool the granules. Packaging hot granules would create condensation inside the bags, leading to caking and spoilage. The cooler uses ambient or forced air to bring the granules down to room temperature.

Step 6: Screening

The next step of the production line is screening. Farmers want uniform size granules for their crops as they release uniform nutrients. After granulation not all sizes come out as perfect. For this to happen you have to do quality control. The LANE rotary screening machine can help you with this.

This machine separates granules according to three sizes: On-size granules, oversized granules and undersized granules. On-size granules are moved into the next stage for packing while oversized and undersized granules are sent to the beginning of the production line via conveyor to be crushed and recycled into the production line without wasting any raw materials. This closed-loop system is a hallmark of an efficient organic fertilizer granulation line.

Step 7: The Final Touch

The on-size granules are sent to the LANE automatic packing machine. They are weighed and bagged into sacks for easy distribution and sale.

The Organic Fertilizer Granulation Line made by LANE embodies the synergy of environmental protection and efficiency. Our production line is not just a collection of individual machines; it is a seamlessly integrated system where each piece of equipment plays a vital role. We design production lines—especially the Organic Fertilizer Granulation Line—based on the needs, situation, and governmental policy of each region.
